GastroGuide is a personal digestive wellness tracking and education app. This policy explains what data is used and why.

Who operates GastroGuide

GastroGuide is operated by Quartiy for personal wellness tracking and educational use. For privacy, support, or data requests, contact destek.quartiyco@gmail.com.

No tracking for advertising

GastroGuide does not use IDFA, advertising SDKs, data brokers, or cross-app tracking for targeted advertising. We do not request App Tracking Transparency permission because the app is not designed to track users across other companies' apps or websites.

Data we collect

Depending on which features you use, GastroGuide may collect and process the following categories:

Health-related logs are treated as sensitive personal data and are saved only through user actions inside the app.

Why we use data

We use data for app functionality, product personalization, account access, syncing your logs, showing personal summaries, generating educational tracking reports, restoring purchases, preventing abuse, managing support requests, and keeping the service reliable.

Service providers

GastroGuide may use service providers such as backend hosting, Apple, RevenueCat, OpenFoodFacts, OpenWeather, and Google Gemini. Data is shared only as needed for app functionality, product lookup, weather context, subscriptions, account authentication, or user-requested AI analysis. We do not sell personal data.

Subscriptions and payments

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat. GastroGuide does not receive or store payment card numbers, bank account numbers, or other full payment credentials.

Auto-renewable subscriptions are also subject to the Apple Standard Terms of Use (EULA) and GastroGuide's Terms of Use.

Retention

We keep account and tracking data while your account is active or as needed to provide the app. When you delete your account, we remove your account and associated tracking records from the GastroGuide backend unless retention is legally required or needed for security, fraud prevention, billing records, or dispute handling.

Children

GastroGuide is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

International processing

Your data may be processed in countries where our infrastructure or service providers operate. We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect personal data in line with this policy.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect user data. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Medical disclaimer

GastroGuide is not a medical device, clinic, doctor, diagnosis tool, treatment plan, or emergency service. The app provides personal tracking and educational information. For medical concerns, contact a qualified healthcare professional.

Your choices and deletion

You can delete your account in the app from Profile > Delete Account. This removes your account and related tracking records from the GastroGuide backend. Auto-renewable subscriptions are managed by Apple and may need to be cancelled from Apple ID subscription settings. You may also contact destek.quartiyco@gmail.com for privacy, access, correction, export, objection, restriction, or deletion requests.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. The updated date at the top of this page shows when the latest version became effective.
